The horrific California wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles have unfortunately caused Anthony Hopkins to lose his house.
As the area continues to be devastated by fires, the renowned actor, now 87, is part of an increasing number of Hollywood celebrities who have lost their houses.
Many celebrities are among the people impacted by the flames, and more than 30,000 homes are currently under evacuation orders.
In 2021, Hopkins spent $6 million on a gorgeous four-bedroom, five-bathroom house in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood, but the fire destroyed his property.
Images show the burned-out remnants of the traditional colonial house, with only a charred fence remaining as a reminder of the once-beautiful property.
The Oscar-winning actor, who just sold his long-time Malibu beachfront home for $10.5 million, more than double what he paid for it in 2001, saw the property acquisition as a new beginning.

Regretfully, Hopkins’ house has already experienced destructive fires.
His house almost survived the Woolsey fire in November 2018, which destroyed his neighbor’s property.
Further back in time, in 2000, Hopkins lost his house in London in a fire too, but fortunately, he was safe in Los Angeles at the time.
As the fires continue to rage, Hopkins and many others are left grappling with the heartbreaking loss of their homes in one of the hardest-hit areas of Los Angeles.
Actors Adam Brody and Leighton Meester’s $7 million mansion is among the 1,000 structures which have been destroyed due to the wildfires.
The couple purchased the five bedroom home in 2019, but pictures show the property now engulfed in flames.
The Nobody Wants This star, 45, and Gossip Girl actress, 38, were last pictured in public at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, less than two days before the fires broke out.
They lived at the 6,000 square foot home with their two young daughters.

The ‘immeasurable’ loss of her ‘dream home’ was the subject of an emotional post by former talk show presenter Ricki Lake.
The property was purchased by Lake, 56, in 2014. Only three years ago, she and her husband, Ross Sussman, were married in their garden.
On Instagram, Lake wrote, “It’s unbelievable that I’m typing these words […] Ross and I lost our dream home.”
