Barron Trump was spotted in Greenwich Village, accompanied by a motorcade, as he strolled through the campus of New York University. Following his appearance, social media users quickly shared their thoughts after seeing close-up photos of the president’s son.
On February 4, 2025, Barron, the youngest child of President Donald Trump, made his first public appearance since his father’s inauguration. Although his demeanor seemed typical for a teenager, many netizens couldn’t help but focus on his appearance, with some offering unflattering comments.
During his outing in New York, Barron sported a cream-colored sweater layered over a white polo shirt, paired with black pants and black-and-white Adidas sneakers. He also carried a backpack. Instagram users rushed to voice their opinions, with one person humorously noting, “He’s got baby hands, awwww.”
In response, another user quipped, “Just like daddy,” while many echoed this sentiment. A third user remarked, “He has tiny hands too,” and another added, “[He’s] got his daddy’s hands.”
“He’s got small hands like his dad,” one commenter noted, while another laughed, “Little hands 😂.” After seeing Barron’s photos on X (formerly Twitter), one individual joked, “Look at those lady hands lol. [sic]”
Another Instagram user highlighted the similarities between Barron and his father, stating, “He looks like young Trump on maximum settings 😅💪🇺🇲.” One Instagrammer commented, “Lookin like his daddy 😊,” while a user on X praised him, saying, “Looking good. I like how he is dressed! Very impressive young man!”
On his first day back on campus, Barron was escorted by a security detail that transported him from Trump Tower, where he and his mother, First Lady Melania Trump, primarily reside instead of the White House.
The 18-year-old, who is enrolled at the Stern School of Business, arrived in a motorcade of five SUVs. The area was under the watchful eye of the New York Police Department (NYPD) and the Secret Service as Barron walked onto campus.
In a previous interview, Melania expressed that her top priorities are being a mother, a first lady, and a wife. She believes her son will visit her and bring friends along now that he is in college. Melania noted that parents guide their children until they reach 18 or 19, teaching them before allowing them to spread their wings.
The devoted mother shared that she respects Barron’s choices—whether he says yes or no, what he wants to pursue, or where he wants to go. She acknowledged that he isn’t experiencing a typical college life, as he must be cautious about whom he trusts and connects with.
These are lessons Barron has learned well, having matured quickly. The First Lady said that since he was 10, her son has been different from other kids. She described him as an intelligent and remarkable young man of whom she is incredibly proud.
Melania believes Barron will share his aspirations with her because they have a strong bond and excellent communication. Before becoming First Lady, she admitted that she didn’t expect Barron to have a conventional college experience due to his unique circumstances.
However, she expressed pride in his resilience and how he faces challenges. She added, “He knows he’s in [a] different position than other children, and I just say, ‘Make your dreams come true. This is your road, this is your life. Make sure that you listen to yourself and your likes and dislikes.’”
The loving parent also revealed that Barron enjoys his new school. However, during his father’s inauguration in January 2025, he once again stole the spotlight. Many commented on his striking resemblance to his father, while others noted his impressive height.
Dressed in a tailored blue suit with an American flag lapel pin, Barron drew comments from onlookers, including one who exclaimed, “Wow, [he’s] identical to his dad 😮.” Another echoed, “He looks so much like his father.”
Others emphasized the resemblance, with one person stating, “He looks exactly like his dad,” and another noting, “Dad’s old hairstyle.” Several observers focused on his height, with one remarking, “He’s so tall,” while another added, “He is so tall now.”
Barron Trump and his grandfather, Viktor Knavs, attended Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration in Washington, DC, on January 20, 2025. One observer noted, “Barron Trump stands a head taller than the rest 👑,” while others described him in detail, with one stating, “Barron Trump [is] literally the tallest in the room by a solid 5 inches,” and another adding, “Man, Barron Trump towers over everyone! There is not a single person in the room that comes close to his height!”
This isn’t Barron’s first presidential inauguration. In 2017, he stood beside his mother as she held the Bible for his father during the swearing-in ceremony for Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States.
